Questions and Answers about Office Equipment
It is not recommended to fix such a defect yourself. Frequently cleaning the pickup rubber with alcohol hardens the surface. Increasing the diameter of worn-out rubber (caused by a chemical reaction when the rubber contacts alcohol) due to increased load can damage the entire pickup assembly. It is best to use the services of a service technician who will replace the pickup rubber and separation pad without damaging the printer.
